FAQs

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

We hope you wont, but if you decide to cancel your subscription, we’ll remove your site from our servers. Users will no longer be able to access your website.

How many update credits do I need?

Updating a page or adding a new news item will usually be one update credit. If you require a more complicated update or need to include lots of images in a page then the update may require two or more credits. When you send us your update we will inform you how many credits you will use before completing the work.

Can we tell how many people look at our website?

We use Google Analytics to track visits to your website and to provide you with an email report each month. This service is free to Managed Church Website customers.

What about child protection?

Our staff includes people who are experienced in child protection issues within the church context. All website content will be vetted and we will endeavour to identify any potential issues to you before the content is made public. We may ask to see release forms for photos containing children or young adults. We reserve the right to refuse to publish any content that we deem unsuitable for whatever reason. Nevertheless, you are ultimately responsible for any content published through your website.

Are there any restrictions on content that can be published?

We hope that you wont wish to publish any unsuitable content but all content will be vetted and we reserve the right to refuse to publish any content that we deem unsuitable for whatever reason.

Can we upload videos to our website?

We do not host video content directly on our websites. We strongly recommend that any video content is hosted with a dedicated service such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you host video content on YouTube or Vimeo, we can embed this content on your website as part of your updates.

Is our website safe? Can it be hacked?

Your website is hosted on a secure server and can only be edited by our trained staff using security details unique to your website. All websites are potentially vulnerable to hackers but we take precautions to ensure your website does not become compromised in any way. We keep our websites updated with the latest security releases. As a security measure, we do not discuss specific measures that we take in order to protect your website.
